Unakite Beads
Unakite gets its name from the Unakas mountains in North Carolina, where it was first identified. Since its discovery in the United States, it has bee found throughout the world, including Africa, South America, and Asia.
Unakite is a type of granite and consists of orthoclase, green epidote, feldspar and quartz. Its beauty comes from its unique green and pink smearing of color. Unakite can take on a nice polish and is popular with stone carvers.
