Beads of Bali

Tiger's Eye is a brown quartz with yellow and brown parallel bands that create the appearance of a cat's eyes.  It has been popular in jewelry making for years. Tiger's eye is usually used as a cabochon because a larger stone is needed to display the banding that characterizes this gemstone. An oval cabochon, cut so that the bands run lengthwise, also helps to create the illusion of a cat's eye reflecting moonlight.  

Tiger eye beads can be beautiful, to be sure, despite their smaller size.
