We have exciting news to report!  Over the next few months or so we will be selling off the remainder of our inventory and closing our U.S. business. In late 2010, Beads of Bali will return as an Indonesian company, based in Bali.  Orders will ship from Bali.  Our nephew, who has been designing our pieces for years, will run the day-to-day operations of the company.

We have purchased a beautiful piece of land in Bali on a babbling brook, just a ten minute walk away from the Indian Ocean.  Construction will after the rainy season ends on our new Bali facility. (See the photo to the right, which also shows lead designer Miming, our nephew.)

Why are we making this change?  First, it will become increasingly difficult to compete as a U.S. company with foreign-based competitors, given their lower costs.  Second, this move allows our family business to thrive even after its American owners retire, which is not that many years away. Third, our managing partner wishes to return to his career fulltime, and has been offered a position too good to pass up. Fourth, the demands of a business that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, prevent us from doing other things in our lives.

It would be too expensive to send our inventory back to Bali, so we are marking everything down  to extremely competitive levels. Our discounted sterling silver and gold vermeil price to you is now 50% off our regular price..  Given the extremely high price of silver these days, as well as the exceptional quality of our designs and our fair trade employment practices, this is truly great pricing! All other beads have been marked down 60-80%.

There are no further discounts.  Nor do we intend to lower our prices on silver and gold further.  What you see listed as our "liquidation sale price" is our best and final offer to you. 

Our sales prices are limited to stock on hand and will not be applied retroactively to your past orders. We are not taking orders for out of stock items or reserving product for later purchase. Everyday, we sell out of a few styles, so consider stocking up on your favorite Beads of Bali items before they are all gone. To help you do so, we now show our inventory for all products.

Please note that we are now liquidating our inventory through a variety of means, not just through this website.  Please do not assume that an item available today will necessarily be around tomorrow.  Things are selling quickly!
