Gold-Plated Beads
We liked to use brass for our gold-plated items because in the event of a scratch, a brass base is less likely to be noticeable. Gold-plated beads give so much of the beauty of solid gold at a fraction of the cost. Even so, we found that gold-plated beads were a hard sell -- until the economy fell apart in 2008. After that we could not keep these in stock!
