How To Use A Bead Board
In this excellent video, Tammy Powley of about.com shows how to use a bead board. A bead board provides the beader with measured grooves in which to lay out their designs prior to beading. Doing so ensures that the final product (a necklace, for example) is neither too long nor too short. The bead board also contains a number of compartments for storing beads. We prefer a bead board that has a matte surface, which prevents beads from rolling around.
In the past few years, bead boards have been introduced for multi-strand beading. Very cool!
